Nathan has broad experience in commercial disputes including litigation, arbitration, expert determination and adjudication (security of payment), with a particular specialty in building and construction matters. Since his admission in 2004 he has practiced extensively in all South Australian jurisdictions and throughout Australia.

Nathan was listed as a Leading Construction & Infrastructure Litigation Lawyer in Doyle’s Guide for South Australia in 2017.

He has acted in multimillion dollar disputes for overseas engineering companies, international rail organisations, State Governments, construction project principals, head contractors and subcontractors. He has also represented numerous domestic builders, subcontractors and homeowners.

Nathan is mindful that his clients would prefer to get on with their business rather than remain embroiled in a dispute. He provides strategic legal advice aimed at achieving the best commercial outcomes for his clients and wherever appropriate he explores dispute resolution alternatives, such as conciliation and mediation.

A former professional cricketer and captain of the South Australian Cricket Team (the Redbacks) Nathan has a competitive nature which drives him to deliver exceptional service and outcomes for his clients.

He is a member of the South Australian Cricket Association Board of Management and a member of the SACA High Performance Committee.  With an elite sporting background and strategic involvement in sporting governance, he is well equipped to act in sports law matters of all kinds.
