South Australian commercial law firm Lynch Meyer Lawyers is pleased to welcome commercial lawyer Malinda Kuo to the firm’s partnership.

Malinda, who speaks fluent Mandarin, has a wealth of commercial expertise and vast experience in providing transaction advice to businesses dealing with China, businesses in China and local Chinese businesses.

Malinda’s expertise and experience, combined with her in depth understanding of both the Australian and the Chinese cultures, have enabled her to understand her clients’ needs, effectively communicate with them and their counterparts and deliver exceptional services and outcomes for her clients.

Malinda is the current Secretary of the China Business Network of SA Inc and the Australian Asian Chamber of Commerce Industry Inc.

Lynch Meyer Lawyers’ Chair of Partners Michael Hutton said:

“We’re thrilled to welcome Malinda to the partnership. There are only a handful of Mandarin speaking senior lawyers in South Australia and we’re pleased to have this opportunity. She will bring a great deal of energy to growing our firm’s market to Australian companies dealing with China and Chinese companies investing in South Australia.”

China is South Australia’s largest and most significant two way trading partner, making nearly a third of the State’s total exports. South Australia has a wealth of mineral reserves, agricultural produce, seafood and wine and is attracting Chinese investment in those industry sectors.

Malinda will further cement the firm’s existing strong reputation in property development, construction and agribusiness.

“Service providers are increasingly demanding Mandarin speaking employees to assist them with bridging the culture differences and the language barriers in order to tap into the world’s biggest market - China.” Malinda said.

“More and more people are studying Mandarin and recently jobs are advertised requiring Mandarin-speaking skills. This trend is across-the-board in all industries, including the legal industry.”
