Adam is an employment and industrial relations specialist, with significant experience in work health and safety and equal opportunity law.
He provides practical advice on all aspects of employment law, including drafting employment agreements, advice on Awards and Enterprise Agreements, drafting and advising on workplace policies, advice and assistance for the management of disciplinary processes and termination of employment, as well as representation in Courts, Commissions and Tribunals.
Adam has acted for both employers and employees in relation to unfair dismissal and general protections claims, underpayment of wages, breaches of work health and safety laws and SafeWork SA prosecutions, as well as worker’s compensation matters. He has also represented local councils in regulatory enforcement matters including prosecutions.
Adam also practices in Administrative Law, with particular experience in local government.
In addition to extensive private practice experience, Adam has worked in the public sector for government agencies including SA Health, Department for Education, SA Police and the Legislative Council of South Australia.
Adam is a member of the Law Society of South Australia’s Industrial Relations Committee and the Administrative and Public Law Committee. He is a former member of the Australian Institute of Administrative Law (AIAL) SA Branch Executive Committee.
Adam is also a tribunal commissioner for the Adelaide Turf Cricket Association and was recently a member of the Australian Olympic Committee’s pro-bono legal service provider panel.
Adam is a regular presenter on employment and industrial relations matters, as well as administrative law issues to local government peak bodies.
