Huan Do
Senior Associate
Huan is a Senior Associate in Lynch Meyer Lawyers’ Construction, Infrastructure, and Engineering team.
He advises a broad range of clients across the construction industry, including builders, subcontractors, developers, and homeowners. Huan has particular expertise in contract drafting and review, project advisory work (including matters such as extensions of time and variations), and the resolution of construction and commercial disputes. He regularly appears before South Australian courts and tribunals, including the Magistrates, District, and Supreme Courts.
Prior to joining Lynch Meyer Lawyers, Huan spent nine years with the Housing Industry Association, where he held the role of Assistant Director, Workplace Services SA/NT. In this role, he was the primary contact for members seeking guidance on a wide range of legal and industrial relations matters. Huan brings a deep understanding of the practical challenges faced by residential builders and subcontractors, along with extensive experience in policy development and industry advocacy.
In 2023, Huan was recognised by Doyle’s Guide as a South Australian Construction Law Rising Star.
He currently serves on the Housing Industry Association’s Legal Services and Industrial Relations Committee. He has also served on the board of Muirden Senior College for 12 years, including five years as Chair.
Huan is fluent in Vietnamese and holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Adelaide (2010). He is also a course creator and tutorial leader at the University, where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in construction law and contract administration.
