Sue Porter
Senior Associate
Sue Porter is a Senior Associate in the firm’s workplace relations team. As part of the team, Sue provides advice and assistance to clients on all aspects of employment law including bullying and harassment, workers compensation, drafting contracts and policies, contractual disputes, the interpretation of industrial instruments and legislation, investigating complaints, restructures and redundancies, post employment obligations including restraints, and assisting clients with disciplinary matters.
Sue has represented clients before State and Federal Courts and Tribunals in matters including unfair dismissal, general protections and discrimination claims, disputes, award and enterprise agreement interpretation, public interest disclosures and underpayment of wages claims.
Sue was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2021 and registered as a legal practitioner of the High Court of Australia in 2022. In addition to her legal qualifications, Sue holds a Graduate Diploma in Public Health and a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations). Prior to working as a lawyer, Sue gained extensive experience as a manager, advisor and consultant in industrial relations, human resource management and workers compensation, working across a range of industries in both the Federal and State industrial relations jurisdictions.
