My summer clerkship with Lynch Meyer has been the highlight of my legal career thus far. The environment of the firm is warm and welcoming, and I felt that I fit into place on my very first day. The practitioners are kind, patient and supportive, which is very encouraging for a university student still finding her footing in the legal world. Throughout the clerkship, I was assigned an array of tasks across diverse areas of the law which made each day new and interesting. Some of these tasks included conducting legal research, writing legal memos, drafting pleadings, preparing court documents, and contributing to a published article. The highlight of the clerkship was being able to shadow practitioners and gain hands-on legal experience. I was fortunate enough to attend court hearings, mediations, client interviews and meetings, and even got to sit in on counsel meetings and watch in awe as senior practitioners discussed their strategies. I am very grateful to all the practitioners at Lynch Meyer for their mentorship and helping me refine my legal skills. Whether this is your first clerkship or your fifth clerkship, I would highly recommend applying to Lynch Meyer as they offer invaluable practical experience in a supportive and encouraging environment.

My time as a summer clerk at Lynch Meyer provided me with invaluable practical experience and allowed me to gain insight into a career in the legal profession within the most supportive environment possible. Clerks are not placed within any one team, but rather work for and interact with practitioners across all levels and areas of the firm. This enabled me to obtain extensive hands-on experience and practically apply my theoretical knowledge to a wide range of interesting and challenging tasks. Though I was only there for a brief period of time, the emphasis placed on clerk involvement in every aspect of firm life, both on professionally and socially, truly made me feel like a valued member of the team.
