Kyle Lawson

Kyle acts for clients in mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, and property development projects. His practice involves providing general corporate and commercial advice to clients throughout the life cycle of their business.
Kyle’s clients span across the Asia-Pacific region ranging from private investors, family businesses, property developers and corporates. His clients regard him as a trusted advisor and appreciate his pragmatic, strategic approach and ability to dissect complex legal issues and deliver timely commercial solutions.
Kyle is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese with a deep understanding of Asian cultures in business transactions, especially with respect to Asian investment in Australia.
He has a wealth of experience conducting due diligence processes and contracting models across a wide range of corporate transactions. Kyle also has solid experience advising on Australia’s foreign investment regime in relation to projects, real property acquisitions and property development.
In particular, Kyle has developed expertise advising clients acquiring, investing, and operating in the wine production and agribusiness sectors.
Before practising, Kyle was an academic staff member at the University of South Australia Law School, teaching civil litigation, business law, and health law and ethics.
Kyle is actively involved in the China Business Network of SA Inc, the Australian Asian Chamber of Commerce Industry Inc and the South Australian Asian Golf Association.
