Commercial Lawyer (Mandarin Speaking) 3-7 years PQE

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced lawyer to join our expanding China Advisory / Asia Practice Team. As the successful candidate, you will be fluent in Mandarin (verbal and written) and have sound experience in the area of commercial law.

About the role

Working closely with highly experienced China Advisory / Asia Practice Team, you will enjoy exposure to a variety of complex and interesting matters and your work will involve:

  • Contract drafting; Business sale agreements, Share sale agreements, Shareholder agreements, Joint venture agreements, Leases and property sale contracts.
  • General commercial advice on acquisitions/disposals and structuring
  • Advice on companies, partnerships and trusts
  • FIRB applications

The successful applicant will be highly commercially focused and will be provided with the tools and support necessary to develop their career.

About you

Successful candidates will possess the following skills, experience, and attributes:

  • 3-7 years PAE with a practical understanding of commercial law principals and legislation.
  • Strong commercial drafting, reviewing, and negotiating skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • A commitment to providing excellent service and building client relationships.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex legal concepts.
  • Fluency verbal and written Mandarin (essential).
  • Honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • The ability to work well independently and within a team.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A proactive, positive and energetic approach.
